We pride ourselves on offering a beautiful yet affordable venue with transparent pricing and no surprise fees! The only add-ons to our base rental fees are sales tax and your choice of beverage package w/ gratuity.
Capacity: Whispering Pines can accommodate events with up to 250 guests. For the most spacious and comfortable experience, we recommend limiting your guest counts to 200 or less.
Extended Rental for Friday Weddings: That's right! You can extend your one-day Friday rental to include 8 hours on Thursday for setup and rehearsal. Eliminate the stress of setting up on your wedding day with this unique option. With access to the venue on Thursday, you can relax with your friends and family while setting up and hold your rehearsal on-site. We're truly an all-in-one venue! When the dancing and fun ends on your wedding day, simply take your cards and go. You can return on Sunday to retrieve your personal belongings!
Ceremony Space: We have a few different options for your outdoor ceremony, with a backup plan if our Wisconsin weather has other ideas for your special day. Setup and teardown for the ceremony is included in your rental fee.
Tables & Chairs: Tables and chairs for up to 250 guests are included in the cost of your rental and will be set up for you prior to your event. We will provide primarily 60" round banquet tables for guests and rectangular tables for the head table, gift table, desert table and buffets (if needed). And here's some great news.... we've upgraded all of our reception and ceremony chairs for 2023!
Linens: We can recommend several options for linen rental or purchase to ensure that you get just the right color and sizing.
Alcohol: Whispering Pines has a liquor license, so no need to worry about having a great selection of beverages for your wedding. We offer three different options for your bar package in an effort to fit into any budget. With our most popular ala carte option, we've provided a beverage menu by which you can customize your bar package, choosing what you'd like to serve complimentary to your guests (beer, wine, signature drinks, soda). Everything else would be offered as a cash bar. Alternatively, you may choose a fully-hosted bar for a set number of hours with a full cash bar to follow, or a hybrid of the two options. Our pricing is very reasonable, two bartenders are included in your rental fee and best of all we have NO BAR MINIMUMS!
Catering: Feel free to choose your own caterer. Our only requirements are that they be licensed and insured, and that they are full-service, meaning that they clear the tables after dinner. While we're happy to assist wherever possible, this is a busy time for us and we need their help! Our spacious kitchen has ample room for staging. All food must be brought into the facility fully prepared and dishes must be removed and washed off-site. Some of our couples are paying as little as $13/plate by shopping around!
Staffing: Two bartenders and two additional staff members are included in your rental fee. This ensures that your event runs smoothly and bathrooms are maintained and stocked throughout the night! For most events, we will personally be onsite to ensure your day is perfect!
Temp Control: Why risk being miserably hot or cold on your wedding day? Whispering Pines has full temperature control with heating and air conditioning, so you'll be comfortable in our venue throughout the year. Your guests will LOVE you!
Decorating: Depending on your choice of decor, you can easily achieve either an elegant, rustic or boho vibe at Whispering Pines. In fact, some of our favorite weddings have been very simply decorated. New for 2024, select decor items will be available to rent for all couples hosting their wedding at Whispering Pines. Save money and time by renting your cylinder vases for floating candles, bud vases, gold chargers and dessert platters/stands. More to come as we continue to acquire inventory! We allow real candles if they are contained in an enclosed cylinder vase or lantern. Hotel and Shuttle: Our preferred hotel is a quick 10 minute drive away. Quality Inn and Suites on Hwy 60 between Lodi and Arlington will provide a voucher to partially offset the cost a shuttle with Kobussen busses for larger room blocks. Payments: Weddings are undoubtedly expensive and our payment plans are meant to help! We require 25% of your total rental fee when your contract is signed to lock in your date. An additional payment of 25% is due six months prior to your event and the final 50% payment is due one month prior. To keep our costs down, our preferred form of payment is check. If you prefer to use a credit card, a processing fee of 2.6%-3.5% will be added to your total.
Pets: Yes! We understand that your pets are your family, so your furry friends are welcome to participate in your ceremony. Once your ceremony and photos are finished, we ask that pets be taken off-site to avoid any issues with catering.
Clean-up: We'll take care of everything! You'll just need to remove all of your personal property.
Insurance: We require a $1,000,000/$2,000,000 ($1M per occurrence/$2M aggregate) event insurance policy with Whispering Pines Event Center listed as the additional insured prior to the start of your event. This can easily be acquired online through a variety of vendors or through your own insurance agent.
